It’s far from dead. This ruling is certain to be appealed to the Circuit Court and then probably to the Supreme Court, which may or may not hear it.

Something?

What does the average Congress Critter know about healthcare?

After 70+ failed attempts to repeal the ACA, Trump campaigned on repealing and REPLACING. He repeatedly committed to delivering better healthcare at a tiny fraction of ( current) cost. He said it was going to be so easy.

His inauguration speech did not mention healthcare. It became obvious to the most casual observer, he had no plan. Within weeks, he let loose with “ no one knew healthcare was so complicated. In this case no one meant he and his inner circle of advisors.

Closing in on 2 years and 4 Secretaries of HHS and the Admin has nothing.

Given Trump was very clear about REPLACING, HHS owns it.

2 more years of uncertainty will likely kill any chance Trump has of being re-elected.

To be fair, they couldn't think straight or rationally beforehand either! The majority of them are lemmings who simply don't have the gray matter to be capable of independent thought.

The GOP just handed the Democrats the White House and Senate in 2020.

That is what the ruling is.
Based upon the ruling that made it constitutional. Calling the penalty a tax.
No more tax, there is no place in the Constitution that authorizes them any control. It is back to a 10th Amendment issue.

When/if it gets to the Supremes I can't see Roberts ruling for it without the tax he insisted was the basis for the law.

Not the job of Congress. Who among them know anything about healthcare?

Congress did not create the ACA. They negotiated it.

Since Trump made it clear he will REPLACE, HHS owns it.

Maybe his 4th Secretary of HHS in 2 years will be the charm.

Trump was elected because of Russia and the electoral college. Like I said with Trump's corruption, plunging stock market, a huge increase in the deficit and loss of jobs across the country, The GOP and Trump handed the Democrats votes from the majority of Americans fed up with the GOP.
