Hm.... so Trump does have a way of getting 5 Billion, but it's just NOT for the wall, but $$ to try fixing a problem he caused.

"The Trump administration announced Monday a second and “final” round of trade aid for farmers and ranchers burned by retaliatory tariffs, including roughly $4.9 billion in additional direct payments for certain commodity producers.

The second batch of trade relief payments is President Donald Trump’s latest effort to stem the pain inflicted on U.S. agricultural producers by his trade feuds. But just as with the first round, commodity groups are complaining that the aid is not nearly enough to offset the damage from retaliatory duties....

The move brings the total direct payments to farmers to nearly $9.6 billion.

What's the often heard refrain about how Democrats are always quick to use other people's money?

Here we have a president who is using our money to fix his big blunder. And nary a word of protest from the right.

The difference is we need farmers and this won't be a permanent thing like welfare is. We don't "need" people who can't produce anything. I'm not trying to be mean but it's the damn truth. How would your life be affected if people who produce nothing but take everything just disappeared as opposed to farmers disappearing? In the big picture that's what many realize. The US spends roughly 1 trillion a year every year on welfare programs and that is a permanent expenditure. Just imagine how worse off these people, along with everyone else would be if there were no farmers. Things will settle down and this won't be needed like this anymore.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. On and on you go about unrelated things, and refuse to deal with the subject of this thread. This is about Trump making a huge, preventable blunder, and expecting the taxpayers to bail him out.

Everyone tried to tell him he was making a huge blunder, but big-ego Donnie listens to no one.

And now, we the taxpayers, are on the hook because he's an idiot.

But all you want to do is rant about poor people. Because it's an easy target.

I believe this is part of the original "up to $12 billion" that was earmarked.

$12 billion of the people's money being squandered to cover Trump's huge ass.

But no one on the right bats an eye at it.

This is Trump using taxpayer money to buy votes. Farmers being hurt by tariffs might turn against him, so he has to mollify them with moolah.
