I know a couple of women in town who are CEOs. My grandmother owned a successful real estate and insurance company for fifty years, and raised three children and took care of her farm while doing it.
"Woman's work" is kinda hard to define, actually...
I'm in between Ivanka and Tiffany's ages. This was certainly not how we were raised. Our dads changed diapers, gave baths, and pushed baby strollers (or, in my dad's case, wore the baby carrier). I'm truly sorry that wasn't your experience.
I had my mom to do that stuff. My dad taught me to ride bikes, shoot hoops, use chainsaws and watch the evening news. And if he carried me it was way up top on his shoulders. Funny, I never saw anything about that experience as sorrowful
Of course there isn't. Nor men's. My mother taught me to crochet when I was five to keep me busy. I taught myself to knit. In high school, I joined the knitting club when we had to pick something. Most of the guys joined sports clubs, and a lot of them laughed at me.
I was in a room with eight girls for an hour every week with something in common to talk about. I knitted a sweater for a girl I was dating. None of the girls thought I was in the least compromised because I did "women's work". The guys didn't know what they were missing, and I didn't smarten them up.
He inherited $400 million. That is hardly a "self made" anything. The cute part is, he might not even have what he stated with left if the truth was known and the balance sheetes revealed. That's one reason he's hiding his tax returns - so America doesn't know how big a fake he really is.
Boosie Whoosie little cuebald... I hope you enjoy the next 6 years!!
At least they think they ought to say that they do.
I happily dumped a macho "alpha" type who held those types of archaic beliefs and lived in the gym for a sweet and nurturing scientist who I'm happily married to now.
Those men are acting like the wife. They've abdicated their masculinity for an apron and pacifier. They aren't real men anymore.
'Mr Mom' used to be an insult to guys! LOL
