You can take data that uses high IQ women housemakers from the 1950s and say see...they don't make much money...but if you adjust for things like that a study of 6,000 people found that a 1 IQ step tends to mean 2.5% more income.
Interestingly enough, black people with average IQs make quite a bit more than white people with average IQs.
But this argument is wrong, too. Indeed, we know as well as anything we know in psychology that IQ predicts many different measures of success. Exhibit A is evidence from research on job performance by the University of Iowa industrial psychologist Frank Schmidt and his late colleague John Hunter. Synthesizing evidence from nearly a century of empirical studies, Schmidt and Hunter established that general mental ability—the psychological trait that IQ scores reflect—is the single best predictor of job training success, and that it accounts for differences in job performance even in workers with more than a decade of experience. It’s more predictive than interests, personality, reference checks, and interview performance. Smart people don’t just make better mathematicians, as Brooks observed—they make better managers, clerks, salespeople, service workers, vehicle operators, and soldiers.
IQ predicts other things that matter, too, like income, employment, health, and even longevity. In a 2001 study published in the British Medical Journal, Scottish researchers Lawrence Whalley and Ian Deary identified more than 2,000 people who had taken part in the Scottish Mental Survey of 1932, a nationwide assessment of IQ. Remarkably, people with high IQs at age 11 were more considerably more likely to survive to old age than were people with lower IQs. For example, a person with an IQ of 100 (the average for the general population) was 21 percent more likely to live to age 76 than a person with an IQ of 85. And the relationship between IQ and longevity remains statistically significant even after taking SES into account. Perhaps IQ reflects the mental resources—the reasoning and problem-solving skills—that people can bring to bear on maintaining their health and making wise decisions throughout life. This explanation is supported by evidence that higher-IQ individuals engage in more positive health behaviors, such as deciding to quit smoking.
Significantly more, in fact: people in the 75 to 90 (IQ) range are 88 times likelier to drop out of high school, seven times more likely to go to prison, and five times more likely to live in poverty than those with an IQ over 110.
Terman selected 1,500 children between the ages of eight and 12 who together had an average IQ of 150. Of these, 80 had scores over 170.
Over the next few years, Terman continued to track the children and found that most were socially and physically well-adjusted. Not only were they academically successful, they tended to be healthier, stronger, taller, and less accident-prone than a matched set of children with normal IQs.
After Terman's death in 1956, other psychologists decided to carry on the research, dubbed the Terman Study of the Gifted....
The average income of Terman's subjects in 1955 was an impressive $33,000 compared to a national average of $5,000.
Two-thirds had earned college degrees, while a large number had gone on to attain post-graduate and professional degrees. Many of these had become doctors, lawyers, business executives, and scientists.
Arden and her colleagues analyzed data from three long-running twin studies that all looked at sets of twins in which at least one twin had already died. One study looked at 377 pairs of male World War II-veteran twins from the United States. Another was a study of 246 pairs of twins from Sweden, and the third looked at 784 pairs of Danish twins.
In general, the researchers found, the more intelligent twin of each pair lived longer, whether the twins were fraternal or identical. But there was a much larger difference in longevity between fraternal twins, pointing to genes as the major driver of the life-span differences.

The truth is that IQ is not a perfect analog for intelligence. Another truth is that that fact has no importance, and anyone who portrays it as meaningful to any racial issues is a lying manipulator.

Isn't that something we all already know? IQ has never guaranteed performance would be stellar, nor did a lower IQ indicate performance might be dismal.
