If a company MUST rely on minimum wage workers, in order run a profitable business, maybe they need to go back to the drawing board, and come up with better business plan?!

Lets check the yearly earnings report for companies that say they cannot afford it too.

I've posted this a dozen times. Sweden has NO minimum wage. Instead, they have a workforce that is largely unionized. When you're in a union, you have professionals negotiating your wages, benefits, and working conditions, so you're in a much better position to get what you deserve, according to market conditions. Companies have lawyers and negotiators working for them, but most American workers do not. Under 7% of private sector US workers are unionized.

The minimum wage can't just keep increasing. At some point it has to stop. We can't have a $25 minimum wage. Too many jobs won't be worth that much.
The minimum wage should be a living wage, as it was intended to be when FDR introduced it. That means it should handle all food, clothing, shelter, and healthcare needs, with a bit left over to save for the future.

Also.

Do away with mandatory schooling.

Do away with child labor laws.

Let the free market work as it is supposed to.

Opponents of this cannot understand that times change, they still go on and on about these low level MW jobs are to be staffed by retirees, part time workers, students, etc.! LOL

It used to be this way years ago, but certainly not anymore, Im not sure why they do not see this?

LOL, of course they would.

Do you really think a place like McDs would suddenly loose business over burgers that cost a few bucks extra? I think they would be just as busy as they are today.

I wouldnt have a problem paying more for a fast food meal, if I knew the employee was making enough to live on or support their family on. I also would not expect a raise for myself either, as I make enough to support myself, (so its not a problem for me).

Did FDR intend for it to keep going up? If so,to how much? At some point we will be over paying people for certain jobs.

People are wanting a $15 min wage. That's not too far from an $18 min wage. Then a $20 min wage. Should a person get $20 an hour for bagging groceries?
