According to multiple news accounts, the activist is 64 years old, which means he would have been 18 years old in 1973, the last year any U.S. combat units were stationed in Vietnam. Mr. Phillips also claims to be a Marine veteran, although the last Marine combat units left Vietnam in 1971.
I was being sarcastic. The Indian man was a minor at the time of the Vietnam war. Yet he claims to have served 2 tours in Vietnam.
I was thinking the same thing. He is too young to have served in Vietnam, let alone 2 tours. My guess is he wouldn't hold up well to much scrutiny. Then again he likely knows the major media aren't about to question his background as it wouldn't fit the agenda.

I can blame them. After communicating with one of the mods in question a couple hours ago it's clear just how little thought goes into decisions to lock threads. Mostly they just do because they can. I guess it's fun to exercise that power.
