It's a case of denial. They don't WANT to believe he's a democrat anymore so the CNNowflakes couldn't emotionally deal with putting a D next to his name.

Oh, okay, guess they made a mistake. I know for a fact that Fox News has done this before as well, only it centered on sexual abuse allegations (later proven) against a former Florida congressman who was forced to resign in disgrace. Perhaps both of these news organizations could do a better job of proofing their graphics.
