A 2/3 majority of both the House and Senate gets the ball rolling. Then 2/3 of state legislature must agree to ratify the Constitution. Good luck with that.
There are thousands of brands within Christianity. Many of them claim their way is the only way.
Oh, believe me. I don't think it can happen. Not into today's godless climate. America will have to endure a cataclysm in order to come around to where such an amendment is even possible. Think, WW3, a Depression, famine, and a hurricane all rolled up into one.
I think Catholicism would be the best one. In fact the perfect one.
You are essentially a Christian Dominionist, which is an arrogant position that says Christianity should hold dominion over all other religions - which of course implies that Christianity is the superior religion. That runs counter to the very framework under which our country was founded.
(Remember too that our founders were not Christians for the most part....they were deists.)
Illicit sex does affect all of society. Here is a fact: The majority of HIV cases in the US involve homosexuals. That's just plain truth. That means all of society is dealing with and paying to treat these sick patients. EVERY immoral act has societal consequences.
Marriage does more to prevent the spread of AIDS that all of the thoughts and prayers out there. In fact the rates of AIDS infections has been dropping for years due to education. From 2010 - 2015 the rate of AIDS has dropped 8% in the US.
There are no confirmed cases of transmission from W to W sex.

We're not in a godless climate. Fully 90% of Americans believe in a higher power.
You allege "Secularism has no values, no beliefs, no identity, no ideology, no doctrine, no morals."
That's the very essence of a statement that could not be any further from the truth.
Do me a favor Burdell, google "secular definition", and read the definition to me.
Secular simply means "not religious in nature". Secular does not imply either the existence or absence of values, beliefs, identity, ideology, doctrine, morals, or anything else.
A secular-government has whatever values it claims to have for the moment, and it can completely change those values the following day. Because its values aren't based in anything.
Whatever is considered "good" under a secular government, is merely what the government proclaims to be good. And the values in one secular government could be opposite those of another.
The only value in a secular-government is power. And that is the only reason they exist.
They were also out in front forming Inquisitions that tortured people.
And given the church hierarchy's protection of predator priests I see little reason to accept their proclamations of just what constitutes 'morality'. Clean your own house before attempting to critique mine!
