Hannity says ‘garbage compromise’, Lawmakers say 'agreement in principle'. Will President sign it. Sen. Shelby, R-Ala says hope so.
The deal won't be available to the public until Wednesday so all we have is whats leaked out so far.
Looks like Hannity is right. Its a garbage deal so far. Sen. Shelby is looking like an idiot from what we now know about the deal. That could change but not likely. IMO
When asked if they had an agreement that President Trump would approve, Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., the chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, told reporters: "We think so. We hope so." Rep. Nita Lowey, D-N.Y., the chair of the House Appropriations Committee, declined to give details of the deal but said a final text could be released by Wednesday.
Never fear - Trump will once again renege on what he has told his negotiators he will accept and bow, once again, before these fomenters of hate and misinformation like the wuss he is.

Thats one way to look at it. Those infected with TDS might agree.
There are other ways to look at it too.
One would be to accept it and declare a national emergency too.
Another is accept it and use other funds, some say is available, in various departments and that would keep them busy on construction for a year. Then go at it again next year.
I say, sign the bill. I am fine with incrementalism. Take the 1.3 billion.
A sea to sea well is not neccesary because:
1) Much of the border has natural barriers, such as the Rio Grand, hills, and deserts.
2) It is a declining problem, which peaked in 2000, and...
3) Illegals go home too, and, like everyone, die off. All Trump has to do to start solving the problem is beat the attrition rate.
The 1.3 will build 55 more miles. Hannity was saying on the radio that he already has another 900 milion to add to that, though I don't know the details because I honestly don't listen to the program much. In addition, some here and there has already been built or repalced:
In March last year Mr Trump secured $1.6bn from Congress for projects at the border. The US Customs and Border Protection agency (CBP) has said this raised enough money to build approximately 100 miles of "border wall system". In the months that followed, the CBP said it has replaced about 14 miles of scrap metal barrier with a "bollard-style wall" in San Diego, built two miles of "primary wall" in California and 20 miles of "new border wall" in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. And in December 2018, the CBP contracted the US Army Corps of Engineers to construct up to 14 miles of "secondary wall" and up to 15 miles of primary pedestrian replacement wall in San Diego, Yuma, and El Centro Sectors.
Additionally, he has talked about taking money from other departments to use on the wall.
If we could end 2020 with 200 miles of new border wall in key areas, in addiiton to the 650 miles that already exists, that is a big accomlishment.
Take it what you can get rather than getting nothing. And who knows, he might just find a chunk of money in the defense budget to build significantly more than that.
Another is accept it and use other funds, some say is available, in various departments and that would keep them busy on construction for a year. Then go at it again next year.
This looks like the most likely option as of right now.
He will sign it but what he should do is reject it and let them override his veto. He also seems reluctant to use other methods for funding the wall that some say are available, so either those methods don't really exist or Trump likes having the issue for campaign reasons and doesn't really want to solve it.
