Hey, if Texans want to spend all their money on a cement wall, despite being one of the states with the least health-insured and one of the lowest grades for education, I say great! Let them.

But don't come crying to the US taxpayers when the state floods due to the greed of overdevelopment. Take it out of the "rainy day" fund.

And, frankly, if Texas doesn't need the money--why did we pay for Harvey? Refund please.

The only people in the entire world talking about a 2000 mile wall must be in Mt Airy.

But no poll was taken.
So we don't know what "Texans want". Poll results were not released because they do not fit with the narrative.
The Wall is coming. Hopefully, immigration reform will come along, too, because America could use all the good people we can get. But The Wall is coming.

Texas considering building their own wall

Good. I (and the rest of us here) in Illinois am all for it. Texas can build highways, canals, bridges, reservoirs and walls to their heart's content.

Texas refused to use their rainy day funds for Harvey. They demanded federal funds even though they had a nice pile of cash they had set aside for exactly that kind of disaster. What could be more appropriate than a rainy day fund to cover the massive rain event that caused the disaster? But nope, they demanded federal dollars so they could sit on their money.

Let them now squander it on a wall if they can get this through the Texas legislature. My guess is it won't fly. Even Abbott is against it. Who here believes all those wealthy landowners are going to give away their land because a few idiots in the Texas legislature demand it? They'll blow that $2.5 billion on court costs before a single foot of a wall can be built.

Heh-heh......... Some of these people who "don't care" get a little windy, don't they?
It's all about winning or losing and controlling the outcome to a lot of people. Nothing more.

Talking Texas considering building their own wall

Nope

Texas is not "considering it."

A couple of teabaggers in the TX house representing districts far from the border are "filing legislation."

Carry on.

Thanks for the fact check!

It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it.
