I don't believe ACLU has 'standing' to sue in this instance, but we'll soon see.

Ann Coulter " The promise he made every single day at every single speech. (to build the wall) So forget the fact that he's digging his own grave. Look, the only national emergency is that our president is an idiot."

Is it in the Constitution that the President is responsible for the safety of the people?

Yes, it does. It gives wide latitude to the POTUS in ensuring national security.

how is he digging his own grave? since day #1 he is against Democrats and RINOS in his own party that are against border security and immigration enforcement. He is using the hand he was dealt with. He is not ignoring the border problem like every President has done before him.

Does Coulter have a better plan?

No surprise. The ACLU has a history of suing or threatening to sue anyone that wants to stop crime and violence. They never have any qualms with making sure violent criminals don't face the consequences of their bad behavior.

I call it the Art of the Steal. Trump has an epic fail in negotiating, so he decides to use a national emergency, which other presidents have done for legitimate rasons, for his own illegitimate reason.
