I will pitch Chris Wallace. He is assumed to be a right wing commentator but he has been doing a lot of hard question ,take no guff interviews lately. I think he is channeling his late father- Mike Wallace.
Colbert is a circus clown. Nothing he does is related to journalism.
Will Rogers was a comedian and showman. But he was the most trusted and revered person in our country and people depended on his opinions and comments on the news. He could have owned the political realm, if he'd chosen. The manner in which people present and comment on the events in the news, isn't nearly as important as the information they convey and how believable they are.

Rush Limbaugh is a propagandist in the same realm as Hannity and just a step above Alex Jones. His guests may get huge exposure but it isn't good exposure.
I so old I pre-date Oprah... I'm sorry, but there isn't a journalist today that I can think of that I truly trust. There are commentators and opinion person's but a journalist. Nope. My kingdom for Woodward and Bernstein, Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite. All I need from a journalist is Who, What, Where, When and Why. Give me those and I'll form my own opinion.....
Woodward has a new book, Fear. Trump refused to be interviewed for it and later said he had never been asked.
