Update: The suspect is a 29 year old Alabaman of African American ethnicity who might also have previously engaged in homocide before and appears to be involved in black power/anti gay groups. It appears he was a member of the Nation of Islam.

A black man sprays a restaurants with bullets in a gay area of San Diego. There is no discussion of this story. The suspect is a 29 year old Alabaman of African American ethnicity seems wanted for homicide in Alabama. Photos show him to be involved in black power/anti gay groups. It appears he was a member of the Nation of Islam.
SDPD said they found 19, 5.66 caliber weapon casings outside of the restaurant, which was riddled with bullet holes.
If I'm not mistaken, that number of casings, along with that caliper, would strongly suggest an assault-style weapon, perhaps an AR-15. Sounds like California needs to toughen its laws on assault style weapons, as we have done here in Washington State.

A minority attacking other minorities is not as news-worthy to some agencies as a White guy doing this.
