I say if bikers want to use the road they need to pay for licenses ;insoections and road taxes. otherwise they wilkl never have a equal right to the roadway.

I see nothing wrong with what you stated. This is a sign of a wealthy and successful nation. Actually, I'm a car collector and own 11 cars and a big rig truck. Motor vehicles are things that I derive a great deal of happiness from. To each their own.

Sorry , but with all respect to your opinion, we have and will always have a constitutional right to travel any "PUBLIC" roadway as was stated by Justice Tollman in the state of Washingtonin in the many desissions that he has handed down in cases brought before him .All we have to do is understand this , and DEMAND it ! also who say's that we need registration and license to travel with an auto ? ( the private corporations call D.M.V. )I have for the past 12 yrs. traveled with no license plates on my vehicles. no drivers license . And YES i do get stopped , but that is all they do . Once they see the papers supporting my statement that i don't have a contract with their private corporation , therefore there is no Violation I am sent on my way !

AND by they way that "fool" that you speak about is called (the private corporations) in some states D.M.V.( department of Motor Vehicles)or D.O.T. (Department of Transportation). they all have rules and codes that they say are LAWS. challange any of them and you find that they are not !

That's not the way the law reads though.

In Alaska, they have the HIGHEST percentage of people who WALK to work.

I always have equated success with wealth and believe that most people do, whether they admit to it or not. I'll admit that I'm a very materialistic person. Material things do make me happy. To deny this would be less than truthfull to myself. While I don't believe money can always buy happiness, there are many times that it does. Some individuals do not desire material possessions. Hey, whatever works for you. I've been blessed with a good career, job stability and a good income all my life. I enjoy spending money on the things that make me happy. Remember, you only live on this planet once. Make the best of it, whatever that may mean to you.

My dad used to tell us that the old saying '...money can't buy happiness' was invented by the rich to keep the peons more accepting of their lot in life. I'll never forget those words.

While I'm far from rich, I consider myself upper-middle class and I'm quite happy overall.

I agree. It's what you do while you're here that counts.

The town I live in is currently installing sidewalks, but it's also making for some angry homeowners because people are losing about 10 feet from their front yards. It will also be up to the homeowners to keep the sidewalks edged, which most of them probably wont do.
