The candidate that will ban robo or telemarketing calls .
Seriously though I think that would add to their platform.
Andy.

I've often thought about that.

If I were a candidate for president I would make a promise to NOT run any TV or radio commercials. I bet I would get a lot of votes from people just for that reason. :P

This is why I refuse to take third party or independent voters seriously

They already have a "Do not call" list but the scammers don't care. You could ban robo calls but they won't stop; another empty promise.

As an independent I will vote against any candidate that is proposing "Free $hit". Pay off college debt and offer free tuition? Nope. What you do is get government out of the student loan business.

Medicare for all? Sure; IF and ONLY IF everyone has skin in the game. Everyone pays something no matter how modest.

I will not vote for an idiot proposing a "Financial transaction tax". They are planning huge spending programs based on the theory this tax will generate billions of dollars. It won't. Studies AND the experiences of Sweden and Italy show that it would result in LESS tax revenue than is produced from the capital gains tax already in place. Trading will dry up resulting in high volatility in the markets. An overall bad idea.

It used to just be a problem on landlines, and the do not call list solved that. But then they moved on to cellphones, and since cells have caller ID, they just clone numbers and such. Really annoying

Thing like VOIP has been it really easy to hide yourself as a scammer and call from unused numbers and such.

It also isnt limited to just being called, they send unsolicited texts too...sometimes trying to be clever to bait you into responding... Hi I am looking for [insert name here] do I have the right number? I get so many "looking to buy your property" spam calls it'd almost worth abandoning my cell # much like you do email addresses that you know have made it on every mailing list known to mankind(btw "in" before someone says "spam filter" i know i know, maintenance goes up when you huge blacklists and whitelists to maintain) who knew owning a lot of property would be this kind of a hassle in 2019?
