Contrary to mostly unsubstantiated belief, and a lot of inflated claims by the current POTUS, the economy was not on the precipice of collapse in 2016.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/12/polit...are/index.html

"President Donald Trump claims full credit for the strong economy and stock market.

In his telling, everything was set to tank when he moved into the White House and took over from President Barack Obama.
Assessing that argument requires giving Trump's current economy a sort of report card as well as comparing what he's done with what Obama did. Let's get started."

He said American was carnage, so he could later take credit for "fixing" things which no longer needed fixing.

He also made a big stink about NAFTA, and then he basically renamed it and pretended to have created "best deal ever".

How dumb does he think people are?

Oh, he knows exactly how dumb they are!

If you can get away with your entire life built on frauds, cons, abuse of women, etc...and then your "people" think that is "success", not much else to know or say.

This bit below is super important and shows what a scam trumpism is..

Normally the gov/IRS withholding recommendation purposely deducts and little TOO MUCH so that unaccounted for taxable events do not leave members of the public with an unexpected debt..

A safe margin of error

Trump's people instructed the the recommendation to be much TIGHTER, leaving little to no room for error...
Thus fooling the greater public into thinking they got a big tax break, when in reality much of it was just reduced withholdings....

Result? Taxpayers finding out are not getting the nice little bump they get most years and many finding they owe the IRS money , and often money they don't have because they did not expect it.

Me? I write the IRS a check every year... i fgure it is a free loan, but because of that i know what i will owe way in advance and
