The "Westchester Princess"-I like it. I might have to use that rather than "Bronx Bimbo".
She's no Bronx "home gurl" as she likes to portray herself. She was raised in one of the most affluent counties in the USA, got a degree at a very expensive private University, then became a cocktail waitress. And now she's calling out the PM of New Zealand for a gun massacre. It really has to be seen to be believed.
First of all, as a devout Christian, our thoughts and prayers for all those who were affected by this horrific tragedy. It's okay to disagree with someone's religious beliefs or ideology but that doesn't give anyone any excuse to murder people just because their beliefs are different.
On the topic, it's incredible and almost comedic; this woman makes a fool of herself every time she opens her mouth.
Ocasio-Cortez noted that “thoughts and prayers” is a reference to the NRA phrase she says is “used to deflect conversation away from policy change during tragedies.”
The progressive congresswoman called on communities to “come together, fight for each other & stand up for neighbors.”
“Isolation, dehumanizing stereotypes, hysterical conspiracy theories & hatred ultimately lead to the anarchy of violence,” she wrote on Twitter. “We cannot stand for it.”
Ocasio-Cortez added that she greatly admires New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
Ardern called the shootings "one of New Zealand's darkest days,” according to The Associated Press, adding that it was “an extraordinary and unprecedented act of violence."
“It is clear that this can now only be described as a terrorist attack,” Ardern said.
AOCDS is strong in this thread. She is absolutely right. What good are "thoughts and prayers" when you refuse to do anything to stop the violence.
Because no matter what AOC, you, and others who back her up want to do, it will not stop "the violence". Many countries, including New Zealand, have very strict gun laws, did it stop the individual(s) from walking into a crowded place and committing a horrendous act?
As I mentioned before, violence has been a trait of mankind since the beginning of time, long before guns came about, what makes you think taking any actions such as disarming decent Americans like us will magically stop the violence?
Just like all other similar situations, had there been an armed individual or individuals, this attack could have been stopped or prevented before any lives were lost.

Too bad to few do not realize she isn't really a Bronx kid, but a kid that happened to be born in Bronx and moved back after college. As you say she was raised in a very affluent neighborhood, no where near the Bronx.
I wouldn't be too surprised if AOC blamed Boeing for the September 11th, 2001 attacks.
