160 years ago, the Democrats were pretty mad at the Republicans, too.

As History has proven, if the Democrats are mad, we are moving to the right side of history.

160 years ago the South surrendered to the North and allowed for the freeing of the slaves. I'm certain the South was incredibly mad giving up their slaves and having to bow down to the ways of the North. I'm also certain this carries into today as well.

The South that fought for slavery is greatly republicans now. You forget that slavery and the Civil War was a North vs South thing where the South supported slavery. Or maybe you don't forget and were just never educated on the Civil War. Either way, ignorance is bliss.

Bringing up nonsense form over 150 years ago that you don't understand fully isn't going to help you in anyway.

I'm glad the Democrats are mad for once. The Democrats should have been mad about Vietnam, Reagan, Iraq, the Tea Party, etc.

LOL. Yes they always forget to point that out. It is always amusing to me that they actually believe that crap.

Based on postings on C-D it's the Trumpists that are upset most of the time. Usually whining about the press or whining about the Democrats or AOC or Hillary or whining about how everyone is picking on poor wittle victim Trump.

Didn't you realize that Slaves were owned by ~1% of Southerners. It was incredibly expensive and only made economic sense if their labor was producing something that could be sold. And much of the Slave industry, including selling out shares in partial Slave ownership was controlled by the Banksters in NYC. They were incredibly ma

Calling people "ignorant" isn't an argument based on logic or fact. It simply means you don't have one.

Which of course why they opposed slave spreading out west. Whether only 1% of southerners that owned slaved doesn’t excuse the history of segregation and KKK intimidation that those southern states practiced for over 100 years after slavery was banned.

And yes you can argue all you want but the reality is that those same southern states that were controlled by Southern Democrats who were in large part racist bigots turned to the Republican Part when LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act Which is why the South turned from voting Democrat to Republican.

Also why the majority of Blacks on the South switched from the Republican Party to the Democratic Party.
