News flash to this to paster: Film producer William Fox, the Hungarian Jewish film producer and namesake of Fox News, would probably not have been a fan of Trump or Hillary. However, between those two, he would have voted Republican for business purposes. Fox himself was a Republican but one of the 1910s and 1920s. Heck, he'd shake his head in dismay at what the Fake News channel has become and would have rolled in his grave at the thought of the Disney-Fox merger.
Yep. Just another wealthy guy wanting his free stuff through tax cuts.
The pastor meant that, Trump and the Republicans, are basically "more Christian" than the democrats. So those who are stronger in their religious convictions, will be more likely to vote for Trump and the Republicans.
Is someone who is stronger in their religious convictions morally and spiritually-superior? The pastor never made that claim. The OP seems to be making that claim.

No. If anything, the opposite.
Evangelicals are mostly concerned with discipline, adherence to a rigid morality, and stifling of intellectual curiosity (perhaps because they feel threatened by speculative thinking because it might turn radical).
Besides, even five years ago, no evangelical would support a president who behaves like Trump. But lo and behold, he gets a free pass if he supports what they say, even if he's a "flawed" human being (and I mean that in the "Oh, well nobody's perfect!" sense). Almost a generation ago, they threw a huge fit at Clinton getting a BJ from an intern, when Trump does much worse than Clinton did. Hypocrites. It seems evangelicals, or at least the leadership, want the US (or at least the Bible Belt) to become the Christian analogue to the Islamic Republic of Iran: plenty of elections, but with clerics having veto power over legislation and even court decisions, and even which candidates are allowed to run for office.

The pastor apparently has a side hustle doing stand-up comedy.
Look at this whackjobs past statements. He is another deranged dimwit who worships Trump.
