If I were in Congress I would be more than happy to support a bill that clarifies that discrimination against people who do not fit the stereotypes of their birth gender is not allowed. However, I would NOT support a bill that compromises the intent of sex segregation that is done because of natural biological differences (e.g. sports, prisons) as opposed to social customs.

My rule on which sex you compete as would be: If you are currently or within a certain requisite amount of time been under the influence of testosterone (whether natural or artificial) in normal male quantities then you must compete as a male. Otherwise you may compete as the gender you identify with.

Is there a question in anybody's mind that the liberals are out to destroy this country?

Well, to be fair, there are no federal government schools for the US Congress to boss around. If states or local city and counties school districts want to screw up their own schools, fine. Just don't be surprised if your local districts start voting down increased taxes for education, or refuse to fund school sports, or demand more vouchers to go towards private schools.

If something like this ever passes we might as well do away with athletics being separated by gender. It would actually save colleges and universities a lot of money since females sports are generally subsidized by football and men’s basketball earnings. I suppose schools could maintain varsity, JV, and non-varsity so at least females still get a chance to participate - but they are most likely done ever winning again.

This is hideous. How did we ever get to this point? What about beauty pageants? Will they become little more than G-rated drag shows now?

Agreed, why even have women's sports, if the defining characteristic of who a woman is, has become a blurred personal perception, to the point of being meaningless?

I got bigger things to worry about - like whether I should have spaghetti or baked potato for supper.

Might get to that point.you've let politicians run your schools, but winning an election doesnt mean you are ruler for life. There is another team with its own crazy ideas to respect.
Dont like it? Home school, private school and stop advocating for govt schools.

Sounds like a great way to get a sports scholarship. You can always evolve back once you get your degree.
