This has those of Islam bothered and either stay home to avoid arrest or leave the country .
We already have laws that forbid a civilian from wearing military clothing, (stolen valor )
In California it is illegal to conceal a weapon in things, like a sword inside a cane.
Should people be allowed to conceal who / what they really are ?
If some one is hiding a weapon under their clothing , or misleading others for what they really are , should there not be laws that address this issue ?
Should others be allowed to deceive the public ?
Generally speaking, if some bozo shows up wearing a mask or with their face covered to a protest, an event, a march etc.. and it is not Halloween then we can sum it up that they are up to no good.
Case in point those Antifa thugs.
I would also like to see when accused criminals cover their faces with a jacket or something as they are escorted to and from the court or while they face the judge be stopped. I just think people should own up to what they have done.
I would imagine they are trying this ban in the Scandinavian countries because there are cameras everywhere and they are used to prevent crime and prosecute those caught breaking it. It is easy to get away with a crime if no one can see who you are.

Well, it varies, sometimes 'patriotism' can LOOK LIKE terrorism (on the surface), so have to be sure you know what you are looking at is real first! A good example is the Boston Tea Party...a small group of civilians steal british tea and destroys it by dumping it into Boston harbor.(because they disagreed with the taxes on tea)..on the surface, that appears to be criminal/terrorism, but we all know, that was actually patriotism.
Good, it's about time that people stepped out from behind their internet mask and stood behind their views and comments. My name is real and I live in Portland, OR.

"If dissenters are punished, and can anticipate they are going to be punished, then you might have a situation where no one actually believes something, but everyone believes that everyone else believes it." - Steven Pinker
The internet was the best thing that ever happened, it finally let people say in public what they think in private without fear of reprisal.

Does your opinion apply to govt employees as well? You know like swat teams, undercover dea agents, cops running prostitution stings, paid snitches..
Im all for rules that prohibit govt employees from hiding their true identities from the citizens, but no rules should apply to private citizens.
Tell us how you are harmed by some internet poster using a made up ID?
As far as the protesters like Antifa goes I donlt think we need a law that says you can't wear a mask. You just have increased penalties for those arrested that are wearing masks.

That is a very bad idea. At the top of the list is safety concerns. Nobody should be dissuaded from using the internet to express themselves because they fear some nut job showing up at their house.

YES! Ive seen drug strike forces in my county, where they all wear masks to cover their faces, they also pose as addicts to buy drugs. Its no different what they are doing imo, they are just criminals of a different type, but criminals the same.
