No surprise the same judge that ruled on the 15 week ban tossed the 6 week ban, a complete waste of time and taxpayer funds. They didn't really expect this to pass, just grandstanding for their right wing. So are they going to waste more time and money on an appeal.

A federal judge in Mississippi on Friday blocked a state law that prohibited abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected, around six weeks into pregnancy. U.S. District Judge Carlton Reeves said in the ruling that the law "prevents a woman's free choice, which is central to personal dignity and autonomy."
"S.B. 2116 threatens immediate harm to women's rights, especially considering most women do not seek abortion services until after 6 weeks. Allowing the law to take effect would force the clinic to stop providing most abortion care," Reeves wrote.
Reeves, an Obama-appointed judge, also struck down Mississippi's 15-week ban late last year. The so-called "fetal heartbeat" bills ban an abortion as soon as six weeks, which is before many women know they are pregnant.

Uh, they all knew they'd be thrown out at the district court level. That really wasn't the point. The point was they think the Supreme Court will take the cases on appeal and overturn Row v. Wade.

Do you really think that the SC would take up an appeal for a law that limits abortions to 6 weeks when many wome don’t even know they are expecting. You people are dreaming.

That's my opinion as well, but I guess hope springs eternal. Or something.
SCOTUS will be asked to review quite a few abortion bills. I'm betting that they will choose one to review - just not this one. But it is horrifying to read how far some legislatures are willing to go.
It should be up to individual states and not a federal issue which is more important to me. IMO I could not care less about someone else having an abortion, and frankly people who have them in voluntary non-medical crisis situations should not be having kids anyway. Their situation is none of my business but they should pay for it themselves, no taxpayer funds.

I seriously doubt the Supreme Court would take this up again. Why would they.

given the number of heartbeat laws being passed these days, it is likely the scotus will take the case, if for nothing else to strengthen roe v wade, and set stronger parameters for legal abortion in this country.
