The Brits already have all the guns they need or want. what they also have is that which is missing in the U.S....COMMON SENSE!

They're smart enough to know the difference between stupid bravado and actual courage. Witness the nonsense you get fed on these boards about how Americans think they're freer because they have a piece of parchment that tells them guns are the answer to forestall tyranny but these idiots conflate that to defending themselves from each other while they busily go about killing each other at a greater rate than any other first world country's populace on the face of the planet.

Willful stupidity is the only excuse for ignoring the reality of their self created situation.

In your opinion, I bet many Brits would like to have more access to guns.

Without guns, we would still be servants to your government, like you are.

Guns are not a big political issue in the UK, even the UK NRA doesn't want anything to do with the US NRA.

After Dunblane millions of people supported the snowdrop campaign for tighter gun laws.

The UK has made it's choice, whilst we will allow sensible gun ownership we will not tolerate gun massacres involving innocent young children, the US made a different choice and seems quite prepared to live with the consequences.

You don't allow "sensible" gun ownership. That is a ridiculous term to use for your situation with guns. Sensible would be for law abiding people to be allowed to have guns in their home, and be allowed to use and carry them legally for self defense.

Then you would get many more deaths, due to accidents, suicide, arguments and incidents that get escalated too far because firearms are easily at hand, criminals would tool up much more than they do now to counter the threat from armed public, police would have to be armed and therefore jumpy and trigger-happy any time they interact with the public leading to more killings by police etc etc. No thanks.

I diasgree, people are not allowed to carry any offensive weapon in the UK and many other countries, whilst guns are not kept for self defence purposes. This type of gun ownership is unique to the US, as most of the western world do not allow such a reason for gun ownership.

Sensible Law abiding people are allowed guns in the UK in terms of sport/target shootimg, hunting/game shooting, pest control etc, and guns are quite popular in rural communities.

If you want to learn how to fire high powered weapons then join the military cadets or reserve forces, indeed you will get to fire something far mre powerful than an AR-15 and will be taught how to shoot properly. There are also numerous gun clubs and clay pigeon shooting is a fairly cheap gun sport, as is target shooting.

Uuuh, what part of being allowed to legally own firearms in countries like the U.K. and Canada are you not able to grasp?

Oh, and lest we forget; Both those countries score far higher on a scale of measurable freedoms; from individual, through economic to freedom of the press, so it's not the citizens of either of those countries that are the "servants".

Wait...is that a tinkle I here; better run along now your master is calling for his hot milk, slippers and tariffs you must pay.

It is not an opinion; if they wanted more they can legally buy more. They don't, so they don't...get it now?
