The more concerning thing is how is a $2.2 million hospital bill even a thing?

While I have no doubt such a bill exists I can't listen to that gutter mouth tell his story.

A buddy of mine got a heart transplant and one of his bills came to over a million dollars. And that was probably a decade or so ago.

He stuck it on the fridge and put a tip jar out for visitors to chip in.

He was in the hospital for a month and a half. Poor guy ended up falling a few months later, hitting his head, and died from it.

in 2001 i was in the hospital for four days and the final bill was over $30,000, and the only surgery i had was to open up an abscess so it could fully drain. i cant even imagine the total bill for when i spent six weeks in the hospital a few years later.

I'm surprised he didn't have a heart attack after he saw the bill.

I guess that's what Obama considers "affordable".

That is just it.
Medical bills have gotten so far out of hand.
Who could afford that?
Many people don't realize that most private insurance companies put caps on how much you
can spend and charge to them... at a certain point, the bill is not theirs but your responsibility...
so one should never assume that they wouldn't have to pay that.
So instead of having to deal with a terrible bit of bad health, they have financial woes thrown in on it to boot. Just to add insult to injury.
