Yes they did. They actually believed AOC was serious. She wasn't, as she noted today.

So AOC proved that 67% of Democrats have the intelligence of a sea sponge.

And so did most republicans.
Bought what? That AOC was talking out of her butt? I like AOC, she is amusing as hell. That said, she can't unring the bell. She spewed pure BS and now she needs to own it.

Come now. She was serious when she said it. Idealists and zealots, tend to fly off the handle and exaggerate to make their point.

She needs to admit that she got carried away. It's ok, it happens to everyone at some point. What really needs to stop is hardliners making excuses for their candidates of choice. Don't be afraid to hold your own to the same standard that you hold the opposition.

She was dead serious, too. Play the video. Of course, anyone with a logical brain knows she’s crazy.

She isn't crazy, but she is a zealot and an Idealist. Those people only see the world through a very narrow lens.

DC is filled with zealots on both sides. That's why we have the for us or against us approach to leadership. It really leaves no room for compromise.

Oh bull****.

"Serious" is introducing it a full fledged news conference surrounded by other members of the House with a senior Senator to introduce it in the Senate while your numerous cosponsors introduce it in the House.

It's now a "joke" because she realizes how stupid it makes her look.

AOC says 12 years?
Beto said 10 years?

Republicans are not buying it because they are just too stupid to even recognize that there is a problem regardless of the time frame. Trump is busy undoing things that have already been done. His Mar-a-Lago will get submerged with just a 3 foot sea level rise and seriously threatened with less than that. (He will have to wear waders to play golf.) Much of the important coastal infrastructure is within 10' of sea level. Some South Florida towns will go under sooner than other places but Hilton Head is only 10' and Norfolk VA is 7'. World-wide, some 650 million people are going to be looking for higher ground including folks from China, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, Egypt, United States, Thailand, and the Philippines. We will be moving airports, naval bases, and port facilities, bridges and highways not to mention all the residential property. Maybe it's not the end of the world but certainly a slow-motion disaster and tremendous disruption.

AOC> ""We’re, like, the world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change""...that is exactly what she said

The rate of sea Level rise for Florida has been consistent for over 100 years....global warming has had no effect on it at all...it was exactly the same rate before global warming...and exactly the same rate after global warming
....it's about 9 inchs a century....less than 1 inch a decade
