It’s pretty embarrassing to be an American these days. Ultimately, we can blame it on our terrible public education system, which is mostly funded by local governments. Until we have a federal public education system that is funded at the federal level, American’s will continue to lag behind other nations.

Remember that our Oligarchs / Plutocrats don’t want an educated populace, because that is the threat to their power. And that goes all the way back to the antebellum South, where it was actually illegal to teach slaves to read.

Embarrassing is trying to pass off the warming in Antarctica as anything but geothermal in origin.

Asked this before countless times, but I'll try once more.

Let us say that not only do I accept the observational data (which is easy, as it is simple data collection/presentation) but also, that I ascribe 100% of what is happening to Antarctic sea ice to humans burning fossil fuels....now what? What exactly should I do with this latest crisis alarm?

Since 2015, China has been emitting more CO2 than China + US did in 2000. That means if the US took our CO2 production to exactly 0, as in we all stop exhaling and drop over dead, the planet would still have more human produced CO2 added to the atmosphere than it was getting in 2000. Just with China, and they aren't actually alone in ramping up the burning of fossil fuels to grow their energy sectors.

So forget the back and forth about who believes, denies or chews bubble gum, and answer the question about what is the average Joe American supposed to do assuming they are 100% behind the AGW thing and panicked as all get out. What can that panicked, hysterical person to assuage that fear and dread?

If it means Trump supporter absolutely, but does that also mean that anyone that uses little schoolgirl names for someone is immature, childlike and has no credibility?

America became great without having a Department of Education. The federally guided education system is a disaster, so funding it with federal dollars will not improve it.

Antarctica Now Losing 252 Billion Tons of Ice Annually

Some say unbearable heavy taxation is the answer to stop it !!!

Others with commonsense disagree !!!

What's a reasonable discussion to you? Does that mean I have to agree with your premises?

It's probably more accurate to say you want compliance, not a discussion. This is the case for many on both sides of the aisle.

If they ever figure out a way to 1) blame magma on Republicans and 2) tax it.... we're SO screwed!

You know it! They speak of diversity, yet want total and complete agreement on their views. Otherwise, anyone who disagrees with them is (insert pejorative)...
