I'm glad he literally said the reason that they didn't charge the president is purely because of DOJ policy, not because there wasn't a crime.

He doesn't want to testify before congress and if he did he wouldn't go beyond what was in is report released to the public.
Weasel move !!!
When did you know there was no evidence of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign Bob ?
Its not in the report so apparently he wouldn't answer such a question.

That's actually not what he said regarding conspiracy or obstruction.

Well that was a nothing burger. We may not of heard the last of Mr Mueller, let’s see where the real investigation leads. He seems scared of questions, but he can be subpoenaed

Wow, some good sound bites there....paraphrasing....

1. No matter what, WE wouldn't have indicted the POTUS......(because we work for him and it is policy that we can't do that).

2. If we felt he DIDN'T commit a crime we would have clearly said so.

3. There was systematic attempts to influence our elections - all Americans should be concerned.

Of course, there was more. But he made it clear who he worked for (DOJ) and that his scope was limited to what he did.

He did step over the line, IMHO, when he first said...

"It is longstanding policy that a sitting POTUS can't be indicted".....

but THEN added "It would be unconstitutional".

So, which is it? I think it is "longstanding policy", which gets broken every week in DC (see Fillibuster, SCOTUS hearings, etc.)

I suppose he's suggesting the DOJ policy is unconstitutional.

He said the opposite. See if you can get a transcript.

He said if the evidence showed the POTUS DID NOT commit a crime, he would have said so.

That means, then, that his findings did not clear the POTUS...but, in his words, he cannot indict or charge no matter what. The POTUS could have committed a dozen crimes and Mueller could not charge or indict.

This statement alone gives congress more teeth to want Mueller to testify. Wow. Unbelievable.

Evidence to prove a negative? I didn't kill that guy who was running in the park last Tuesday, but I can't prove it.
