President Trump resumed acknowledging Russian election interference on Tuesday and said he fears that this year, it will benefit Democrats.
Trump, who goes back and forth about what he accepts about the years-long campaign of "active measures" against the West, now says the cyberattacks, online agitation and other techniques could be turned against him and Republicans in the 2018 congressional races.
"I'm very concerned that Russia will be fighting very hard to have an impact on the upcoming Election," he wrote on Twitter. "Based on the fact that no President has been tougher on Russia than me, they will be pushing very hard for the Democrats. They definitely don't want Trump!"
It wasn't immediately clear whether Trump's warning reflected an intelligence briefing he has received about actual Russian activity or whether he was simply "trolling people," as House Speaker Paul Ryan put it on Tuesday.

Translation: He is preparing himself and his Cultists for the inevitable democratic takeover of congress in the fall by preemptively making excuses for it.
There are two possibilities of how this turns out:
1. He is gearing up to blame the blue wave on the Russians and nothing will come of it other than lots of eye-rolling by the liberals and lots of butthurt by the conservatives.
2. He is gearing up to blame the blue wave on the Russians and hoping to postpone/cancel the midterm elections because of it or somehow refusing to accept the results.
Of course it will help dems. There has been "election interference" from the left wing now for over fifty years--mainly from inside universities. And suddenly, Russia is some big enemy of the left? What a joke. They've been best buds since the beginning of the cold war.
Bottom line is if the left wants to call rhetoric and propaganda "election interference" and "collusion," then lets call it that across the board. Russians have no corner on the propaganda market.
Donald Trump is a real piece of work. If he were alive in the 1800's, he would be riding around in a covered wagon, selling snake oil.
Remember those inflatable toys that you punched and they kept coming back up ? He is like that, he does something really stupid, then he bounces back up and says " I really didn't mean that", and his flock nod in agreement.
Astounding. This is really aimed at his own supporters because Democrats and anti-Trumpers will only laugh at the ridiculousness of this BS. Last week's "would" vs "wouldn't" was another example.
So Trump supporters, do you really like your intelligence being insulted like this?
