Mitch McConnell is once again blocking any legislation to secure our elections against outside interference. I don't think he really wants Russian or Chinese meddling in our elections. I think he wants his group of oligarchs to be able to meddle in our elections, and he wants to establish a condition where the people in power can declare an election illegitimate and refuse to leave office.

Foreign advisors certainly have had a part in the strategy. It's straight out of the KGB playbook that the time to destabilize governments is during transitions in power. For the US, transitions in power mean our elections. McConnell is not dumb enough to want the Russians in power, but he obviously wants our elections to be vulnerable to hackers. He's raking in contributions from voting machine manufacturers while keeping them free of oversight or security restrictions.

The only conclusion is that McConnell wants to bring an end to democracy in America.

More likely he's forced to run interference for the maniac, who can't acknowledge the fact that Russia interfered cause he hates the fact it would mean he owes Putin.

If there is anyone worse in DC than Trump, its McConnell.

This congress has led discussions on impeachment, reparations, overturning the electoral college, and the green new deal. None of which will ever happen, but as the latest cliché goes: we are having 'that conversation.'

It looks like fair and impartial elections are not going to happen either, if McConnell has his way.

It amazes me how some jerk like McConnell can even get elected.

Pompeo and McConnell are blaming Iran without evidence.

Quote:
Shortly after news of the attacks broke, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kent., the attacks “threaten the very underpinnings of the global trading system” and freedom of movement in international waterways.

“What is clear is the growing tension and instability out in that region, to U.S. personnel, interests, and partners posed by Iran,” he said.

It's as likely that Israel or Saudi Arabia conducted the attack, since both nations have been playing "Let's you and them fight" with the US and Iran..

If Democrats want to take away the $3K Facebook ads in Russian meddling last election, Democrats will have to give up millions of illegals voting....not gonna happen.

Obama has already told everyone and Mueller's investigation confirmed that Russian meddling had zero impact on the election. Face it, ya'll put up a horrible candidate so bad even Trump beat her.
