A headlong plunge into extreme Big-government leftism seems to be the only thing the Democrats have left. "Vote for me, and I'll pay you more than the other guy! Government will turn over more and more taxpayer money to more and more groups! Trust me!"
Andrew Yang: The government must pay for "Medicare For All", and must also pay every job holder a guaranteed wage of $1,000/month! https://www.yang2020.com/
The list goes on, growing by leaps and bounds every day.
Ever since Democrats decided in the 1930s, that it was somehow a legitimate function of the Federal government to give people free stuff they didn't earn (paid for with Other People's Money), they have been trying to out-giveaway each other.
And now, with nobody interested in whatever "issues" they try to push, it's the only scheme they have left to attract voters' attention, however briefly.
Unsurprisingly, there is apparently no end to it. No limits to how much the Fed govt can pay out, no limit to the number of groups they can pay taxpayers' money to.
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits, with the result the democracy collapses."
- variously attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville, Alexander Fraser Tytler, and others

Small detail. Full time minimum wage is 7.25x166=$1203.
Guess Yang is the first to deliver on his promise!
Corporate America owns both parties. They aren’t going to allow any kind of “big government” that benefits ordinary people.
Corporations will certainly allow “big government” that benefits themselves at the expense of ordinary people (subsidies, bailouts, etc.). But you can sleep soundly tonight knowing that individuals will not be getting anything. No matter who wins, the collective (ie the corporations and their shareholders) will benefit at the expense of the individual. I hope that makes you feel better about things.

Will it ever end?
Hmm, looks like this is another subject the liberals don't want to discuss. The idea that government is a vehicle to transfer money from one group to another who has done nothing to earn it.
Such transfer is unconstitutional, of course, being nothing but theft and distribution of stolen goods. But the liberals (in both parties) see nothing wrong with it, especially at election time. That's when they REALLY don't want its illegality and destructiveness discussed.

Exactly. Even the Republicans were promising free stuff only a couple years ago.
“We’re going to have health insurance for everybody. There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can’t pay for it, you don’t get it. That’s not going to happen with us. The government is gonna pay for it."

I stopped reading the moment I got to "Fauxcahontas". It told me you didn't want a real discussion about anything. I assume many other posters felt the same.

When she claimed fake Indian ancestry, that told normal people that she didn't want a real discussion about anything.
