And I just saw this description of the GOP platform on Facebook:
Fascism.
Outlawing abortions and putting women in prison for having one.
Eliminate taxes for all multi-million corporations.
Eliminate taxes for the 1%.
Repeal ACA and make sure there is nothing to take its place. Reinstate restrictions for existing conditions.
Place land mines and snipers at the borders and kill anyone attempting to cross.
Give the military a blank check so they can spend as they please.
Mandate every citizen must own a gun when they reach 18, and that they must carry it with them at all times.
Pretend "corporations are people" and thus ensure have greater power in electing (actually buying) our officials than American citizens.
Make Donald Trump president for life.
I read it on Facebook, so it must be true, right, OP?
he can't respond intelligently so he creates a fiction. His fiction is as ridiculous as the democrats' actual policy platforms.
Calling everyone who doesn't want this "angry old white people" is exactly how Trump got elected.
What's incorrect about the list?
Socialism - Bernie Sanders and AOC are socialists. Pretending it's not "socialism" by calling it "Democratic socialism" does not make it any less socialism. And we have some lady in CO who just got elected to a seat openly calling for Communism.
[etc., etc., ad nauseum]
So, please, tell us again how none of this is true.
I'm not going to bother with your entire laundry list, but please quit telling lies about Colorado and its elected representatives. "Some lady in Colorado" aka Denver City Councilwoman-elect Candi CdeBaca has been compared to Democratic Socialist AOC, but CdeBaca does not call herself "communist" or advocate that Denver become the new mecca for Communist thought for the USA. If you bothered to read something besides right wing propaganda, you'd know that CdeBaca has been fighting against the federal and local government's attempt to condemn her working class Denver neighborhood to turn it into a new artery for mushrooming Denver's project to turn every iota of land within the city limits to yet another broadening/ extension of I-70 or I-25 or I-470 so that the rich yuppies who work in the downtown area can speed on home to their million dollar houses in Denver's ever expanding exurbs and to hell with the working class men and women who live in the impacted communities. She'd like a commitment from the city council for better air quality, as well.
That about nails it. But its not what the average person who votes democrat wants, they'd be far more centrist and hesitant about supporting open borders, extreme late term abortions, taking away guns or reparations. But that's what the democrat leaders want , they've gone off the rails and live in a bubble of their own warped ideals and dystopian fantasies.
Not that the deep state would allow most of those empty promises to take place. Oh, they'd all too happily agree to ban guns and curb free speech, lower the standard of living with open borders, increase taxes and do away with a fair voting process. But they literally worship money and anything that would cost them... reparations, free college tuition, forget it.
What you would see them move to restrict would be higher education and access to health care. You can't have educated people living long lives if what you really want is a low skilled working class with a shorter life span. The lifespan of the serf class in the middle ages was what, 40 years?
