USA made clothes are not much more and often cheaper. They don't fit the profit scale of big box stores though.

Try a Google search, lots of USA made clothes out there.

Just another trade agreement that screws the American worker.

Thank you in advance.
The worst and almost the worst are not the same.

Thread title says one, quote in post #1 says the other.

No, that's a literal quote.

Trump has just figured out that firms are leaving China for Viet Nam, Thailand, etc........where he hasn't imposed tariffs.

Let's just say -- he hasn't thought this through -- lol.

Having a rigid strategy also makes your moves predictable and easily circumvented.

I already asked you to read the whole article. The post cannot cite the whole article.

The idea that trade deficits are a bad thing comes from economic illiteracy.

If we just want jobs we can pay people to dig holes and other people to fill them up.

The USA ran modest trade surpluses up until 1976. Was that due to "economic illiteracy?" The only reason why the USA is able to run massive trade deficits is because the USA is able to create huge quantities of new dollars from free electrons in the air to pay for imports. Why the rest of the world allows us to do that I can't fathom.

Trump has got to be the biggest whiner to ever hold office. He complains about bad things and he complains about good things and he complains about nothing at all. OOh! Little Vietnam is going to have its revenge at long last and single handedly bring the entire US economy down on its knees. Yeah, right.

Trumpers have a finally honed sense of outrage that will go on unabated until the end of time or the end of our democracy - whichever comes first. Trump keeps his hold on his base by his constant self pitying tweets and bizarre complaints. The Republican party has become the party of those who want to blame everyone else for the mistakes that they themselves have made.

Cowboy up, conservatives. It's embarrassing to see an entire political party blubber along like 5 year-olds. Yep, everything is Vietnam's fault and the monster hiding under your bed will probably eat you before morning, so there's a silver lining there somewhere.
