I liked Elton John very much in '70. But now he looks like a demon.

It is telling that you would want to emulate Russia. I am opposed to sexualizing kids, garish displays of decadence etc. in Pride parades, etc. However, Russia grossly mistreats people and thus I am shocked that you want the same for us.

In general I agree that the LGBT movement is only further alienating the general public. Most of them seem to relish in going to extremes to shock people with offensive behavior. That is NOT what is required in order for people to 'accept' you.

That said, I can't agree with Putin on these matters, as he presides over a nation that openly engages in vicious hate crimes against the LGBT community (as well as people of color, but that's another topic).

Not agreeing with their methods, doesn't mean I approve of violence and hate against LBGT's in general.

It sad when the leader of a country like Russia makes more sense than Democrats, our Media, the Progressives, Education and their corporate masters. Sad, very sad.

That's not really entirely true. It's just what right wing media shows you because it feeds on outrage politics. If you actually went to a pride parade, unless you are in NYC, Los Angeles, SF, or some other liberal bastion, you'll find it surprisingly tame and 'boring.'

I wish more Republicans would just be honest that they want a fundamentalist Christian totalitarian state with zero tolerance for anyone who doesn't follow or questions the norms set by the church. I wish Republicans would be honest and admit they hate the U.S. Constitution and want a society ruled by the Bible.

Is there any question why most people think Republicans are homophobic?
I will be honest with you since you asked for that. I want our society restored to a point where social pressures keep deviant behavior at bay. I do NOT want a dictatorial government enforcing Christian values or morality no more than I want dictatorial government telling me, my state or anyone else that i must accept homosexuality. I believe homosexuality is sinful and should be socially discouraged, I believe homosexuality should NOT be protected by government. I do not believe however that homosexuals should be physically persecuted and I believe we all have the right to do what we want in private. So in short I would say that yes I believe homosexuality should go back in the closet.

I love the constitution and believe in our personal liberties. I do not believe that constitution however gives homosexuals any special or specific privileges.

It's sad that Republicans want to see gay people forced back in the closet or face arrest or violence. It's sad that Republicans cannot accept that the First Amendment exists and because of that, people aren't forced to do what the Christian Right demands.

Nope. Just no special rights over and above other citizens. Go back and try again. Your false absurd extremism doesn't work.

Would our POTUS behavior - grabbing puzzles, fornicating with porn stars while married with children and then paying them...whilst running for high office, bullying, frauds, cons, lawyers, bankruptcies, etc.....let alone many of the other accusations....

Would these fit your wishes for social pressures to keep at bay?

Give us an example in this case.....here you go. The highest office in the land. It used to be said that even if one was divorced, they were not qualified due to moral failings....so, where is the line here...between which numbers.

1. I'd accept a POTUS who was divorced....this happens to the best of us.

2. I'd accept a POTUS who was divorced because he was caught having an affair....yet, men sometimes can't help themselves.

3. I'd accept a POTUS who was divorced because he had multiple affairs...and would be fine with same having multiple affairs while in office - even with a new wife and children.

4. I'd accept a POTUS who was all of the above but has 20+ women accusing him...and who brags about...sexual assault.

5. I'd accept a gay POTUS who was married to a lifetime partner.

6. I'd accept a gay POTUS who has multiple consensual affairs.

Not to say these are on a scale, but would you accept all of them? None?
