Being fully aware that the Trump tsunami owed a great deal to the utter contempt so many Americans had for Hillary, I was fearful that that environment could not be duplicated, causing some apathy among previous Trump voters.

Yes, thank you Lord for The Squad. The Squad is actually trying to bring the USA into line with the rest of the 21st Century economically advanced world. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren would be considered centrists most every place else.

Common sense is just the accumulation of unquestioned assumptions your brain has absorbed before your 18th birthday (attributed to Einstein by Life magazine editor Lincoln Barnett). Put more simply, that's the problem with common sense: it's all common and no sense.
