here's a story that got me to thinking. It says that Ilhan Omar "may" be in imminent danger of assassination. Of course that's not the word used, but that's basically what they are saying.
I personally think that this, like everything else coming from the Left...is just more of the same venomous vitriol, mean Facebook memes, and words, but that's about it. All talk and all bluster. But no action. Security around these four is already tight. I doubt any random person off the street could get close enough to any of them anyway. But that does not preclude arranging and ordering the guards to step and look away for "just a second" at a predetermined time and place.....
But.
As desperate and off the deep end as they are.....
Would it be within the pale of possibility to sacrifice one of their own if it gave them ammunition (pun intended) to go after the Right/Republicans?
Given how hot and ready to boil over tempers are these days (especially on the Left), the Left would LOVE to use something like that to go after the GOP....murders....gun fanatics....racists....misogynists...all of that would become a self fulfilling prophesy were something like that to happen. And the Right would instantly have to go into damage control mode, from which they might not recover. Unless of course it could be proven that it was an inside job. But that lag time may provide just enough of an opportunity for the Dems to win lots of elections and thrust themselves into power.
COULD IT though? Would they actually sacrifice one of their own "for the greater good" which is their mantra and try and make it look like it was a deranged "Trumpie" when in fact it was an inside job they themselves orchestrated? Lose one, there's plenty more out there to replace her with. But driving a stake through the heart of the entire Right may make this an acceptable tradeoff to them.
If anything were to happen, no way it would be a Trump sympathizer. They know that something like that would give the Left all the ammo (pun again intended) to go after guns, individual rights, everything.
Am I just going off the deep end myself pondering such a grim scenario or is this something that actually might or could happen?
