Back in college, I took a class where we had to design a survey and get people to fill it out, and tabulate the results.
My survey involved attributing quotes to different people - some quotes were attributed to beloved people, some to hated people, some no one heard of.
As can be expected, anything a beloved person says people agree with, they strongly disagree with stuff hated people say, and they're more thoughtful about quotes from people no one's heard of.
That's just humanity.
