You quoted the wrong poster. Uggabugga and retiredcop (a former NYC officer) are both saying the same thing.

Did you mean to quote NeutralParty?

My heart goes out. Self inflicted violence is never the answer.

Bill DeBlassio is hated by the rank and file of the NYPD. Yes under his leadership it is a known fact that he does not support his cops. So in that sense he makes the job more stressful. So if we want to say that DeBlassio has added to the stress of a stressful job then I can see how someone could view it that way. Yes some suicides are job related. Others are marital, financial, illness and depression. Yes DeBlassio adds to the stress. Is he the reason that we have 5 cops killing themselves over the past two months? I don't believe so without some kind of direct proof. Again I can't stand DeBlassio. I blame him for inciting violence against the NYPD with his words. But cops killed themselves under Dinkins, Guilani and Bloomberg too.

this should be good.
Why would I? He states quite definitely "There are many contributing factors that will lead a cop to taking his own life: marital issues, family problems, and stress at work."

As well as this:

To which I agree. If someone commits suicide because of who is mayor, they had problems to begin with.
