China is seriously collapsing. Trump could make a really good deal while they are on the ropes. This story is still breaking,

Financial wizards on the forum, please click the Twitter post to read all the related posts and tell us what you think. There was a comment about housing prices in Vancouver and other places plummeting. What sort of domino effect could happen?

It’s an unsubstantiated rumor at this point.

A CEO’s primary obligation is to increase shareholder value. The value of its Honk Kong listed shares are off by 15% over the last year. The bank has not met global cost cutting goals to offset its investment in technology substitution. Reportedly as many as 4000 head may roll before year end.

On the other hand, maybe there is some truth to the rumors.

Hard to know what the truth is.

But just like Trump will seek to limit the tradewar fallout with things like the crop $$$ to farmers, the Chinese will obviously take steps to protect themselves too.

Interesting enough will be if China starts to feel the pinch enough they'll make a hard turn to nationalism (already started) with their state controlled media. I remember years ago when their fighter jet was buzzing a spy plane of our in international airspace and clipped it. Plane landed in China badly damaged, fighter pilot crashed and died.

They had riots at the US embassy after whipping the masses into a frenzy.

There is no counter-balance there like when Trump (or Obama or anyone else) does most anything there are several news outlets quick to point out it was bad.
