People in NY don't talk to one another if they are strangers. It is odd for them to talk to someone you do not know. In NJ we talk to one another. If you talked to a NYer who was down at the shore.. they would just glare at you out of shock if you talked to them in a supermarket.. I always knew if they were a NYer.

Going by this list NJ did not fare much better at 46th.
