That take is ridiculously delusional and irrational.

In the 1880's only criminals and those caught in a dust storm, covered their faces.
If you have your face covered and there is no dust storm, I identify you as an immediate threat and act accordingly.

I’m sorry, but it should be against the law to hold any group protest with your face covered. You are entitled to freedom of speech but if you want to do it in public, then do it in public, not hidden like a sniveling coward. Otherwise, post anonymously on the internet, like the rest of society that has something to say but doesn’t want it attached to their name.

C’mon! With all of the camera phones out there these days, how is a criminal supposed to commit crimes without being filmed?

Don’t you have any empathy for the criminals?

We should have laws against covering the face, unless it's something medical, and they have MD approval.

I used to think that too, but after consideration, in the name of freedom, I think they shouldn’t.

Instead they should make it a law that any crime committed while wearing a mask, regardless of how small, gets a mandatory minimum of 1 month in jail without bail.

Of course, if the crime dictates more than a month, that would take precedence.

Freedom of speech is not including shouting "fire!" in a crowded theater when there is none. And not wearing a mask when robbers and terrorists are the ones who wearing it.

But if you make the punishment harsh enough, you can allow people to wear whatever they want, while still deterring the crime. You don't think a month is enough, fine, make it a year. Hell, make it 10 years.

How many mask-wearing hoodlums are going to steal a hat if it means 10 years in prison?
