But but but...we do know the perp (allegedly, of course) is "white"...so by default, every white male today is a suspect.
Seems many are challenged to distinguish between one, few, several, many and all White, Hispanic, Black, White supremist and Muslim. Says more about them than their targets.
The first report I'd read made it sound like they weren't planning on ever releasing it. I just read a different article that said they "won't give the shooter notoriety by naming him, but the name will be released at a later time."

Why are young white males committing the majority of these recent mass terrorism shootings against innocent women, children, and civilians in wal-marts, movie theatres, malls, schools, etc!?

could be the media outlet wasn't going to mention the name but the police released the name.
I know some of the media outlets will minimize the use of the shooter's name...but that's not a law enforcement policy....that's a media thing.
