I’m not into conspiracy theories but why now. Antonio Brown was worth millions before he signed with the patriots. Everyone knows Commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL hate the patriots success. They know with Brown as another weapon for Tom Brady would make the team almost invincible. So one way to stop it would be to come out with a bogus rape charge and prevent Brown from playing...Just putting it out there...

Anybody (Man/Woman/Gay/Straight/Trans) looking to hook up with an NCAA athlete should be forced to sign a notarized consent form and opt out of all claims to lawsuits unless they agree to be recorded or record all interactions or have witnesses present during all sexual interactions to ensure compliance.

Let's just say it is intriguing but may not have been anything other than the timing was the timing. This is tough because he claims they had a consensual relationship which may or may not be correct. One thing's for sure, having sex with your female employees is living life dangerously and stupidly in most cases.
By the way, this won't make the pats invincible but it does give them a great weapon that they needed after Gronk's retirement.
The timing is very suspicious but he admits to at least one of the incidents in his texts to her. Or at least appears to. His writing is mostly incomprehensible. As a lifelong Pats fan(even way back when they sucked) I am torn here. Her accusations should not be dismissed out of hand but there are holes in her story and the timing of the accusations seems as meticulously choreographed as Roy Moore's accusations were. And remember Brown is innocent until proven guilty.
He wanted to play for the Pats from the beginning. I have no doubt he colluded with Kraft to get his release from Oakland. But they couldn't do it immediately after the trade so he plotted out his antics just so before asking to be released.
