The Trump administration is moving to begin collecting DNA samples from hundreds of thousands of people booked into federal immigration custody each year for entry into a national criminal database, an immense expansion of the use of technology to enforce the nation’s immigration laws.
This is actually a great idea. We already do it for our own criminals. Why not do it for the illegal ones too? Leave it up to the Leftists to bash a great and long overdue idea.

It may be expanding the program but, DNA testing has been going on for almost 6 months.

During a three-day pilot operation from May 8-10, DNA testing revealed a portion of the groups caught crossing the border illegally had lied about being related. But the rate was not as high as 30%, as Cuccinelli said.
According to an ICE statement in June, agents tested 84 family units who "presented indicia of fraud." Of those, 16 groups claiming to be a family were identified as fraudulent. That’s a rate of 19%.
The June ICE statement also said the agency would extend the pilot program by 120 days, and expand it to five additional border locations beginning later that month.
I suppose this was another of Stephen Miller's ideas. This reminds me of all those reports (or fears) of 'chips' being put into people. I have not known Republicans to be eager to endorse this type of program in the past. It seems like Big Brother intrusive.
Where does the government stop with this? Will they eventually require it for a Social Security card? Will they allow businesses to require it from employees?

This should help keep immigrant "families" together, so why aren't you for it? Oh, you only care about immigrant "families" when you can make a political point about it? I figured as much.
Good, additionally, test them all for "fluids" and determine just how many are being sex-trafficked.
