Even if you had as many laws that condemn affirmative action as possible (paper or in theory), actually implementing as many anti-affirmative action policies as possible is perhaps a bigger issue (in practice).

Worth repeating.

At Harvard your grades aren't as important as your political desirability.

Yet whites are actually the most underrepresented racial group at Harvard. Whether you go by academic merit or percentage of the population in that age range, whites get barely half the number of slots they would get if treated equally.

Do you really want to bring sports scholarships into this discussion? How many of those black athletes given a full ride because they are good at football or basketball can spell, cat, without help?

Ivy leagues have always set aside seats for donors and alumni. That will also work in favor of their minority students someday.

Now I have room to complain. My daughters are half white and half asian. They didn't get any breaks. Our household also made over 175 g a year. Luckily they nailed their SAT's and had seriously high GPAs. Their hard work is the only help that helped pay the bills. Needless to say they didn't choose art majors.

Wonder what the dropout rate is for minorities, athletes and children of donors.

Bet someone has those figures.

But they probably have people who help with the numbers anyway.

It concluded that many Americans would be for it IF they thought that the people who would benefit from it looked like them. In other words, Americans are mostly against it because they see people who do not look like them getting the most from such government spending and taxes.

I think its that MANY conservatives are for giveaways and freebies.....if they are getting them and not people who don't look like them.
So basically you need a more homogeneous population in order to implement social welfare policies...

Although in Europe, that is beginning to change now as well...

So maybe the "alt-right" was actually correct this whole time???

Fact Check: Billy Carter was no national politician's son, and he didn't attend an ivy league university. He attended Emory University in Atlanta but did not complete a degree.

Amy Carter, daughter of President Jimmy Carter, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) from the Memphis College of Art and a master's degree in art history from Tulane University in New Orleans.

No surprise here. Whites have always had and continue to have affirmative action. The problem with AA only arose when there was a program established for minorities. The same occurred with welfare. It was acceptable to whites when it was basically accessible to them alone.

White Conservatives especially LOVE freebies, socialism, and cutting the line as long as they're the only ones allowed to do it.

The core of the alt-Right movement is socialism for White people. It's no surprise that they'd love to keep these AA programs in place, but take away ones that benefit Black & Brown kids.
Exactly.
