House Democrats are allegedly working to mask the Ukraine scandal whistleblower’s identity from Republican lawmakers who are President Donald Trump’s allies in a potential effort to ensure the individual’s safety during testimony at a time when the president is actively trying to expose the person who wrote the bombshell complaint that sparked an impeachment inquiry.
The discussion of protecting the whistleblower's identity comes after 90 former national security officials who served under both Democratic and Republican presidents signed an open letter defending the whistleblower and stressing the necessity of protecting the individual’s identity.
Considering how this president and some of his supporters in Congress want his/her identity disclosed, this would seem to be a prudent course of action.

As he should. He's not a "whistleblower"; he's part of a powerful, organized anti-Trump cabal. And he didn't follow any procedure entitling him to whistleblower protection, anyway. His identity should. and will, be revealed if the Dems push this stupid impeachment thing.
