Yup. If I was going to move to a red state, it would probably be Texas or Utah.

What are you talking about? California is overwhelmingly rural. It just happens to have 3 large metro areas. Texas has more metro areas than that, yet you and others wouldn’t describe Texas the way you’re describing California. Ever seen Houston or Austin traffic?

Not so many retirees as compared to snow birds from the upper MW, NW and Canada.

The only time people flock to Mojave County is when they go to Havasu...and those people are overwhelmingly Californians. Most Arizonans don’t even know that Havasu is in Mojave County.

Only 3 counties in this state matter...Pima, Pinal and Maricopa. Everywhere else is Timbuktu.
For your information there is roughly 220,000 people living in Mohave County. It is the 5th largest county by square miles in the country. About 1/4 the length of the Colorado River flows through Mohave county. And because we all have guns in our sanctuary county, we have a very low crime rate. There isn't anyplace in Mohave county that you can't safely walk at any hour of the day or night. Try that in Phoenix or any CA city.

Yes it is remote - thank god - but if you consider just the other side of the river is Clark county and Las Vegas, and THREE of the mighty dams on the Colorado River that supply Phoenix and Tucson and SoCal with water are under our control. So you better mind your Ps&Qs and be nice to us if you don't want us to shut the spigot off!

We are not going to let the liberals, illegal aliens and communists in Phoenomexico and Tusconifornia inflict their anti-gun anti-freedom socialism on rural Arizona. Gabby Gifford's and her husband what's his name that is running for Senator are NOT going to take over this state if rural Arizona has anything to say about it. Hopefully other rural counties will grow a pair and declare their own counties to be 2nd Amendment counties.

A little support would be nice Desert Detroiter.

We do have low crime, but that has little to do with gun ownership. We've got safe demographics.

Ah, that we do. A bunch of safe old people carrying guns!

Again, Mojave County is irrelevant. The resources you guys have belong to the state, and we’ll do with it what we please. Mojave County has no pull in the state House. I live in Cochise County...we have more pull than you guys do. If the 93 didn’t take most Arizonans thru Mojave County to get to Vegas, the County would be even more irrelevant. Face it...Mojave County is little more than a gas and snack stop for Arizonans on their way to more important places. The river is a playground for Californians. The locals who live there year round may as well not exist.

Moreover, the county is more of a headache than anything else. The Arizona Strip has been soaking up welfare dollars like it’s going outta style. Bullhead City and Golden Valley are the Meth capitols of the state. It’s like Zombieland up there.

No one is interested in Mojave County’s stance on guns or anything else. It’s a waste of time.

Those of us in Yavapai disagree. You can keep your crowds and heat, we will enjoy our 4 seasons and high desert beauty. Our biggest problem in Arizona and Yavapai in particular is it just too attractive to Californians escaping their hyper regulation, high taxes, expensive housing and general COL.

Too many of them drag their leftward ideals with them when they arrive . The Californians that are in favor of the freedom that comes with Arizona's respect for the 2nd amendment are certianly welcome to come.

The rest, well, Oregon is thataway pal ^^^^^.

That's about the size of it. I live in Navajo Country; it's pretty empty, too.
