WOW another Anti-American rant. These are serious charges that you can't back up. This is the exact type of thing our enemies use to recruit and motivate. These newly recruited and motivated enemies kill our soldiers. Knowing this, there is no way anyone can make these blatantly false claims then turn around and say they support our troops.
Um, perhaps you cover your eyes and ears to make the truth disappear, but it doesn't work. We killed many people. We used depleted uranium. We've built permanent military bases. How are these facts things I "can't back up"?
Innocent civilians in a sovereign nation are not enemies but when you attack them, invade them, kill them, destroy their infrastructure, install a replacement government, well, that's how you make enemies... and they are pretty justified in their anger. Why are so called patriotic Americans so unclear about this obvious fact? Why is my insistence on not making MORE enemies considered anti-American?

Iran has the mideast's largest Jewish community outside of Israel, doesn't it? Compared to our allies Saudi Arabia or Kuwait, Iran is relatively tolerant of religious diversity.

You ask me if I am unfamiliar with these people. Of course I am. I've never been to the Middle East and I suspect you haven't either. What you know about them has been packaged by others and handed to you by people who don't have your best interest at heart. You let others make these people your enemies. What you describe is laughably unrealistic, it's a caricature of a society populated by boogeymen and monsters. It reminds me of all those political cartoons that painted the Japanese as less than human during WW2. Same MO today, just different continents. They are not crazy. None of us are crazy if we do our own thinking. What's crazy is when both sides fail to realize how much they've been manipulated into believing that someone they've never met is out to get them.
Are there crazy people out there? Sure, those that benefit from war and resource destruction will create as many insane people as necessary to keep up appearances. Got to fan those flames and beat those drums. Religions will be utilized, the entertainment industry will be utilized, you name it.

As long as our country does not permit them entry, most Americans are safe...unless they travel abroad, which is a pretty stupid thing to do.
I see no reason to leave the place of your birth. Especially today, with the Internet. You can READ about other places, there's no need to go there "in person".
