A detective who Kentucky's attorney general said fired the shot that killed Breonna Taylor is seeking to purchase the rest of his service time so he can retire from the Louisville Metro Police Department, according to an online fundraiser launched by his family.
The campaign on GiveSendGo.com is seeking $75,000 to help Officer Myles Cosgrove purchase the rest of his service time "so that he can retire and continue to focus on the safety of his family." It says the family has been put "continually at-risk over the past few months."
It had raised a little more than $7,200 as of Tuesday evening.
Yes, your comment is shameless and ignorant. Officers did their job in accordance with regulations, got fired at and defended themselves properly. And they have received death threats and had their career ruined.
i was discussing this situation with someone the other day and one aspect to it makes me curious. i believe that breonna taylor was shot 8 times. now, i have seen a lot of shootings and read about a lot of shootings and for someone to be hit by this many bullets seems unusual to me. i cant seem to find the level of detail to describe the exact circumstance of the shooting and how she was hit by so many bullets. does anyone have that detail?
Was he the guy that Breonna's boyfriend shot in the leg, or the other one? If you're a cop and somebody starts shooting at you, what would you do next? Ultimately, this guy's life is wrecked thanks to the psychopaths from BLM. That really sucks for him. If Breonna Taylor's family get millions of dollars, I don't see the issue. I wouldn't contribute myself, but for those that want to, you do you.
Not that I would give to either... but I would choose to support this, as opposed to Harris' plea to support groups like the Minnesota Freedom Fund which releases rioters and criminals.
Someone fired at police. The boyfriend is now saying it was breonna that fired.
I believe police are trained that if they have to fire their weapon to empty the magazine. So the cop(s) were a good shot.
1. ive never seen anything other than that it was the boyfriend who shot so that makes the cops a bad shot since he didnt get hit once.
2. when you get hit by a bullet, typically you fall to the ground. i am just having a hard time picturing a situation where they get 8 hits before someone has hit the ground.

1. Who knows what really happened.
2. Have you ever shot a pistol? What was her original position--probably not standing.
Looks like a good cause. It makes a hell of a lot more sense than the city of Louisville giving millions of dollars to the family of a criminal.
