democrats didn't even have enough votes to bring it to the floor
...it would have been a total waste of time
the rest is liberal bullchit and spin
Which is what I said in older posts that the Democrats can’t stop the confirmation of Barrett. The only thing they can do is if they get majority in Senate is too add another Justice on the SC. Whatever majority is in power Gets the upper hand. It’s just politics as usual. If Obamacare and abortion get overturned, it isn’t out of the realm that Biden will add a justice or two on SC if president. They have to win the Senate though...still a big IF
No. I wouldn't vote for a Republican if they planned to do that to get a Conservative court either. We have 9 Judges, nobody Trump has appointed comes close to Scalia when it comes to being conservative, most are right leaning moderates who vote both ways. I honestly don't know why people are freaking out, it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. The only reason to complain about it is if you want activist judges....and who the heck wants that?
The Democrats can't expand the Supreme Court - if a Democrat Congress passed such a bill and Biden signed it into law, the Republican Supreme Court will simply strike it down as unconstitutional, and it won't take effect.
Republican vs Democrat tit for tat and the danger of packing the court

You apparently have more of a concern about Republican vs Democrat tit for tat, than the devastating consequences to our very system of government should either party's leadership double the number of Justices on our Supreme Court and then appoint new Justices who are loyal to a political party's leadership rather than our Constitution's commands, and enforcing its text, and legislative intent as expressed during its framing and ratification process, which gives context to its text.
I urge you to go to the OP and see what happened to the people of Venezuela when their Supreme Court was "packed" with 12 new Justices loyal to President Hugo Chávez’s party.
Here is a glimpse into our future should our Supreme Court be packed by the Leadership of our socialist controlled [Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, Mazie Hirono, Adam Schiff, Jerrold Nadler, etc.] Democrat Party

To be more accurate, adding twelve new members to the court "packing the Court" and having them picked by the leadership of a political party that is in power, is about undermining our very system of government.
I don't think the average voter understands the threat to our democratic system of government, if our Supreme Court were to have its number of seats doubled in size and its new members arbitrarily filled by the leadership of either political party. Venezuela ought to serve as a chilling example, and cause every freedom loving American voter to be fearful of “court packing”, and that means “court packing” by either political party!
