Biden is reportedly considering Lloyd Austin, a Black four-star general with over four decades in the military. Austin's name is one of several others being floated to lead the Pentagon in the incoming Biden administration. Michele Flournoy, the former undersecretary of defense for policy, is another possible candidate for the job.
Well gee. Maybe he feels pressure to do this. After all he's following the guy who did more for African Americans than anybody since "arguably" Abraham Lincoln.
A quick review of his service history seems to indicate he is well qualified for the job. He served his country and seems a good fit for defense secretary. Please state specific objections to his nomination if you disagree.
Please don't tell me he is an equal opportunity candidate. Review his history in the army. You don't command elements of the 82nd airborne without earning it.
No, I do not like Biden or Trump. Why attack this Soldier over politics? He seems to be a good man.

I have no issue with the selection, provided they are qualified. I won't say most qualified because do they ever pick the most qualified?
This isn't gigantic news. I hate that they always have to make race a qualifier in the news reports.
